Brief Description

In March 2021, the Defense Office for Indigenous Women (DEMI) was incorporated into the Ixkem Comprehensive Care Model for Women Victims of Violence (Modelo de Atención Integral para Mujeres Víctimas de Violencia Ixkem-MAIMI) to guarantee access to justice for indigenous women victims of violence. From 2021 to April 2024, it provided care to 1,287 indigenous women, specifically in family-related matters.
